and¡¡Charleston¡¡railroad¡¡as¡¡he¡¡progressed¡£¡¡¡¡The¡¡work¡¡of¡¡repair¡¡obliged

him¡¡to¡¡march¡¡very¡¡slowly£»¡¡and¡¡was¡¡of¡¡but¡¡little¡¡use¡¡when¡¡done£»¡¡for

guerrillas¡¡and¡¡other¡¡bands¡¡of¡¡Confederates¡¡destroyed¡¡the¡¡road¡¡again
