Mechanicsville£»¡¡pike£»¡¡the¡¡enemy¡¡thought¡¡to¡¡corner¡¡us¡¡completely£»¡¡for

he¡¡still¡¡maintained¡¡the¡¡force¡¡in¡¡Gregg's¡¡rear¡¡that¡¡had¡¡pressed¡¡it¡¡the

day¡¡before£»¡¡but¡¡the¡¡repulse¡¡of¡¡his¡¡infantry¡¡ended¡¡all¡¡his¡¡hopes¡¡of
