They shall not be ashamed in the evil time： and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied。
37：20恶人却要灭亡。耶和华的仇敌，要像羊羔的脂油。（或作像草地的华美）他们要消灭，要如烟消灭。
But the wicked shall perish； and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs： they shall consume； into smoke shall they consume away。
37：21恶人借货而不偿还。义人却恩待人，并且施舍。
The wicked borroweth； and payeth not again： but the righteous sheweth mercy； and giveth。
37：22蒙耶和华赐福的，必承受地土。被他咒诅的，必被剪除。
For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth； and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off。
37：23义人的脚步，被耶和华立定。他的道路，耶和华也喜爱。
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD： and he delighteth in his way。
37：24他虽失脚，也不至全身仆倒。因为耶和华用手搀扶他。（或作搀扶他的手）
Though he fall； he shall not be utterly cast down： for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand。
37：25我从前年幼，现在年老，却未见过义人被弃。也未见过他的后裔讨饭。
I have been young； and now am old； yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken； nor his seed begging bread。
37：26他终日恩待人，借给人。他的后裔也蒙福。
He is ever merciful； and lendeth； and his seed is blessed。
37：27你当离恶行善，就可永远安居。
Depart from evil； and do good； and dwell for evermore。
37：28因为耶和华喜爱公平，不撇弃他的圣民。他们永蒙保佑。但恶人的后裔，必被剪除。
For the LORD loveth judgment； and forsaketh not his saints； they are preserved for ever： but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off。
37：29义人必承受地土，永居其上。
The righteous shall inherit the land； and dwell therein for ever。
37：30义人的口谈论智慧，他的舌头讲说公平。
The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom； and his tongue talketh of judgment。
37：31神的律法在他心里。他的脚总不滑跌。
The law of his God is in his heart； none of his steps shall slide。
37：32恶人窥探义人，想要杀他。
The wicked watcheth the righteous； and seeketh to slay him。
37：33耶和华必不撇他在恶人手中，当审判的时候，也不定他的罪。
The LORD will not leave him in his hand； nor condemn him when he is judged。
37：34你当等候耶和华，遵守他的道，他就抬举你，使你承受地土。恶人被剪除的时候，你必看见。
Wait on the LORD； and keep his way； and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land： when the wicked are cut off； thou shalt see it。
37：35我见过恶人大有势力，好像一根青翠树在本土生发。
I have seen the wicked in great power； and spreading himself like a green bay tree。
37：36有人从那里经过，不料，他没有了。我也寻梢他，却寻不着。
Yet he passed away； and； lo； he was not： yea； I sought him； but he could not be found。
37：37你要细察那完全人，观看那正直人。因为和平人有好结局。
Mark the perfect man； and behold the upright： for the end of that man is peace。
37：38至于犯法的人，必一同灭绝。恶人终必剪除。
But the transgressors shall be destroyed together： the end of the wicked shall be cut off。
37：39但义人得救，是由于耶和华。他在患难时作他们的营寨。
But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD： he is their strength in the time of trouble。
37：40耶和华帮助他们，解救他们。他解救他们脱离恶人，把他们救出来，因为他们投靠他。
And the LORD shall help them； and deliver them： he shall deliver them from the wicked； and save them； because they trust in him。

38：1（大卫的记念诗）耶和华阿，求你不要在怒中责备我。不要在烈怒中惩罚我。
O LORD； rebuke me not in thy wrath： neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure。
38：2因为你的箭射入我身，你的手压住我。
For thine arrows stick fast in me； and thy hand presseth me sore。
38：3因你的脑怒，我的肉无一完全。因我的罪过，我的骨头也不安宁。
There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger； neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin。
38：4我的罪孽高过我的头，如同重担叫我担当不起。
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head： as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me。
38：5因我的愚昧，我的伤发臭流脓。
My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness。
38：6我疼痛，大大拳曲，终日哀痛。
I am troubled； I am bowed down greatly； I go mourning all the day long。
38：7我满腰是火。我的肉无一完全。
For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease： and there is no soundness in my flesh。
38：8我被压伤，身体疲倦。因心里不安，我就唉哼。
I am feeble and sore broken： I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart。
38：9主阿，我的心愿都在你面前。我的叹息不向你隐瞒。
Lord； all my desire is before thee； and my groaning is not hid from thee。
38：10我心跳动，我力衰微，连我眼中的光，也没有了。
My heart panteth； my strength faileth me： as for the light of mine eyes； it also is gone from me。
38：11我的良朋密友，因我的灾病，都躲在旁边站着。我的亲戚本家，也远远的站立。
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore； and my kinsmen stand afar off。
38：12那寻索我命的，设下网罗。那想要害我的，口出恶言，终日思想诡计。
They also that seek after my life lay snares for me： and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things； and imagine deceits all the day long。
38：13但我如聋子不听，像哑吧不开口。
But I； as a deaf man； heard not； and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth。
38：14我如不听见的人，口中没有回话。
Thus I was as a man that heareth not； and in whose mouth are no reproofs。
38：15耶和华阿，我仰望你。主我的神阿，你必应允我。
For in thee； O LORD； do I hope： thou wilt hear； O Lord my God。
38：16我曾说，恐怕他们向我夸耀。我失脚的时候，他们向我夸大。
For I said； Hear me； lest otherwise they should rejoice over me： when my foot slippeth； they magnify themselves against me。
38：17我几乎跌倒，我的痛苦常在我面前。
For I am ready to halt； and my sorrow is continually before me。
38：18我要承认我的罪孽。我要因我的罪忧愁。
For I will declare mine iniquity； I will be sorry for my sin。
38：19但我的仇敌又活泼又强壮。无理恨我的增多了。
But mine enemies are lively； and they are strong： and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied。
38：20以恶报善的与我作对，因我是追求良善。
They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries； because I follow the thing that good is。
38：21耶和华阿，求你不要撇弃我。我的神阿，求你不要远离我。
Forsake me not； O LORD： O my God； be not far from me。
38：22拯救我的主阿，求你快快帮助我。
Make haste to help me； O Lord my salvation。

39：1（大卫的诗，交与伶长耶杜顿）我曾说，我要谨慎我的言行，免得我舌头犯罪。恶人在我面前的时候，我要用嚼回环勒住我的口。
I said； I will take heed to my ways； that I sin not with my tongue： I will keep my mouth with a bridle； while the wicked is before me。
39：2我默然无声，连好话也不出口。我的愁苦就发动了。
I was dumb with silence； I held my peace； even from good； and my sorrow was stirred。
39：3我的心在我里面发热。我默想的时候，火就烧起，我便用舌头说话。
My heart was hot within me； while I was musing the fire burned： then spake I with my tongue；
39：4耶和华阿，求你叫我晓得我身之终，我的寿数几何，叫我知道我的生命不长。
LORD； make me to know mine end； and the measure of my days； what it is： that I may know how frail I am。
39：5你使我的年日，窄如手掌。我一生的年数，在你面前，如同无有。各人最稳妥的时候，真是全然虚幻。（细拉）
Behold； thou hast made my days as an handbreadth； and mine age is as nothing before thee： verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity。 Selah。
39：6世人行动实系幻影。他们忙乱，真是枉然。积蓄财宝，不知将来有谁收取。
Surely every man walketh in a vain shew： surely they are disquieted in vain： he heapeth up riches； and knoweth not who shall gather them。
39：7主阿，如今我等什么呢。我的指望在乎你。
And now； Lord； what wait I for？ my hope is in thee。
39：8求你救我脱离一切的过犯。不要使我受愚顽人的羞辱。
Deliver me from all my transgressions： make me not the reproach of the foolish。
39：9因我所遭遇的是出于你，我默然不语。
I was dumb； I opened not my mouth； because thou didst it。
39：10求你把你的责罚，从我身上免去。因你手的责打，我便消灭。
Remove thy stroke away from me： I am consumed by the blow of thine hand。
39：11你因人的罪恶，惩罚他的时候，叫他的笑容消灭，（的笑容或作所喜爱的）如衣被虫所咬。世人真是虚幻。（细拉）
When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity； thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth： surely every man is vanity。 Selah。
39：12耶和华阿。求你听我的祷告，留心听我的呼求。我流泪，求你不要静默无声。因为我在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，像我列祖一般。
Hear my prayer； O LORD； and give ear unto my cry； hold not thy peace at my tears： for I am a stranger with thee； and a sojourner； as all my fathers were。
39：13求你宽容我，使我在去而不返之先，可以力量复原。
O spare me； that I may recover strength； before I go hence； and be no more。

40：1（大卫的诗，交与伶长）我曾耐性等候耶和华。他垂听我的呼求。
I waited patiently for the LORD； and he inclined unto me； and heard my cry。
40：2他从祸坑里，从淤泥中，把我拉上来，使我的脚立在磐石上，使我脚步稳当。
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit； out of the miry clay； and set my feet upon a rock； and established my goings。
40：3他使我口唱新歌，就是赞美我们神的话。许多人必看见而惧怕，并要倚靠耶和华。
And he hath put a new song in my mouth； even praise unto our God： many shall see it； and fear； and shall trust in the LORD。
40：4那倚靠耶和华，不理会狂傲和偏向虚假之辈的，这人便为有福。
Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust； and respecteth not the proud； nor such as turn aside to lies。
40：5耶和华我的神阿，你所行的奇事，并你向我们所怀的意念甚多，不能向你陈明。若要陈明，其事不可胜数。
Many； O LORD my God； are thy wonderful works which thou hast done； and thy thoughts which are to us…ward： they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee： if I would declare and speak of them； they are more than can be numbered。
40：6祭物和礼物，你不喜悦。你已经开通我的耳朵。燔祭和赎罪祭，非你所要。
Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire； mine ears hast thou opened： burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required。
40：7那时我说，看哪，我来了。我的事在经卷上已经记载了。
Then said I； Lo； I e： in the volume of the book it is written of me；
40：8我的神阿，我乐意照你的旨意行。你的律法在我心里。
I delight to do thy will； O my God： yea； thy law is within my heart。
40：9我在大会中宣传公义的佳音。我必不止住我的嘴唇。耶和华阿，这是你所知道的。
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation： lo； I have not refrained my lips； O LORD； thou knowest。
40：10我未曾把你的公义藏在心里。我已陈明你的信实，和你的救恩。我在大会中未曾隐瞒你的慈爱，和诚实。
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart； I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation： I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation。
40：11耶和华阿，求你不要向我止住你的慈悲。愿你的慈爱和诚实，常常保佑我。
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me； O LORD： let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me。
40：12因有无数的祸患围困我。我的罪孽追上了我，使我不能昂首。这罪孽比我的头发还多。我就心寒胆战。
For innumerable evils have passed me about： mine iniquities have taken hold upon me； so that I am not able to look up； they are more than the hairs of mine head： therefore my heart faileth me。
40：13耶和华阿，求你开恩搭救我。耶和华阿，求你速速帮助我。
Be pleased； O LORD； to deliver me： O LORD； make haste to help me。
40：14愿那些寻梢我，要灭我命的，一同抱愧蒙羞。愿那
